One of the worst smells is someone who wants to speak close to you but who has bad breath.  This can make for a very uncomfortable conversation.  All you want to do is back away without seeming rude, but they want your confidence so they and their bad breath follow you.  If you are trying to speak to someone and they keep turning their head, you may have bad breath.  There are some simple ways to get rid of bad breath and to have a fresher tasting mouth as well.

1.    Baking Soda – Baking soda is one of the best ways to cut down the acids in the mouth that promote the growth of sulfur, which is the leading cause of bad breath.  Simply mix the baking soda with water and sugar free all natural tooth paste and you have a quick cure for bad breath.  While the baking soda and water is going to do the trick on its own, the toothpaste can make the combination taste a bit better for those who need to mask the taste of the baking soda.

2.    Water – Water is a natural way to promote saliva and is going to help to make the breath fresher.  The lack of saliva is going to make the sulfur stronger and this is going to make the breath smell worse.  Those who smoke should drink even more water as nicotine and tar are known to dry the mouth out and decrease the production of saliva.  By drinking water, the saliva promotion can begin again and the sulfur is going to be diluted and the mouth is going to smell better again.

3.    Replace Toothbrush Frequently – While a toothbrush is a good tool for cleaning teeth, it is not so good at getting rid of bad breath.  A toothbrush is going to become riddled with bacteria over a short period of time and should be changed out regularly for this reason.

4.    Apples – One of the best fruits for cleaning out the mouth is apples.  The chewing that is required to eat an apple is going to promote the production of saliva which is going to freshen up the breath.  Other fruits like pears and even carrots are going to work in the same way.  Want to get fresh breath quick and on the go?  Munch on an apple and your breath is going to smell fresher.

5.    Parsley – Parsley is known to decrease the promotion of sulfur and counteracts these bacteria.  By chewing on the parsley garnish at the end of a meal, you are going to cleanse your pallet which is going to make your breath smell better.  Even those who have eaten a meal heavy in garlic or onion are going to get fresher breath simply by chewing some parsley.

These are the most common and natural ways to get rid of bad breath.  None of these methods is overly expensive and many can be done at home or the office.  Keep your breath fresh naturally by using some of the tips explained here.
